Jeannette Diodonet, Registered MFT Intern
Jeannette receives her Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University in 2024. She completed her internship at the women’s recovery facility Wayside House. She has experience working with group and individual work with children, adults, families and couples.
Jeannette supports families, couples and individuals in navigating and overcoming life’s obstacles by using a family- systems - based approach. She utilizes solution focused and collaborative strategies. She is also bilingual and works with English and Spanish clients. Her empathy and understanding help to create a safe, non judgmental space where clients can process and heal.
Rachel Brown, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern

Rachel Brown is a pre-licensed mental health counselor working with adolescents and adults. Rachel was born and raised in Miami, Florida. Rachel, a former United States Air Force veteran with over two decades of service, embarked on a new path following a deeply personal experience. She received her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University and has experience working with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, alcohol, and substance abuse issues.
Rachel's approach to counseling is centered on empowering clients to heal from past traumas and effectively manage life's challenges using person-centered and solution-focused strategies. Rachel is also a Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), Life Stress Reduction (LSR) facilitator, applying structured techniques designed to allow a client to view his or her: life, mind, emotions, experiences, decisions, fixed ideas, and successes with the aim of resolving areas of emotional charge and returning to a more productive and satisfying life. Her empathy, understanding and unwavering dedication, Rachel offers a safe and supportive space for clients to embark on their journey towards healing and self-discovery.
As an empty nester, Rachel finds joy in unwinding on the beach, participating in Pilates classes, embracing the open road on her motorcycle, and indulging in some well-deserved downtime with Netflix.
Vanessa O'Steen, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
Vannessa is a pre-licensed mental health counselor working with adolescents and adults. She earned her Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2013. Vannessa has been working within the child welfare and mental health counseling fields for the past 13 years. Her approach to counseling is centered on helping clients find healing and support through compassion and understanding. Vannessa uses person-centered and solution-focused strategies and offers faith based counseling upon a client’s request.
Ketna Isma, MFT-Intern
Hello, my name is Ketna Isma. I am currently a graduate student at Abilene Christian University majoring in their Marriage and Family Therapy Master’s program. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Florida State University. I aspire to partner up with my clients as they process minor and major events in their life. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families create safe, strong, and striving relationships. My counseling approaches that I use with clients are Solution Focused Therapy, Gottman Method, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I specialize in anxiety, stress, worry, identifying and changing troubling emotions, grief, relationships, and self-esteem. I was born in Haiti and came to the United States at a very young age. My family and I have been residing in Florida for more than 2 decades. When I’m not in the office, you’ll likely find me with family and friends, leisure reading, drawing, or exercising. I look forward to working with you.
Andres, Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
My name is Andres, I was born and raised in Bogota, Colombia. I attended a british school from a young age which allowed me to become bilingual early on. After graduating I obtained a bachelors in psychology, a masters in school psychology and a specialist degree in mental health counseling. In my practice I believe in the power of individuals and how our actions and thoughts can shape our lives to what we want it to be. I enjoy getting to know people, exploring new perspectives and helping others live a happy and fulfilling life.
My approach to therapy combines cognitive behavioral therapy, behavioral therapy, psychoeducation and mindfulness. I work with children, adolescents and adults in individual therapy. I help individuals with issues like depression, anxiety, stress, career choice or change, ADD, ADHD, Grief and diFiculties at school or work.
Outside of therapy I consider myself an ambivert, sometimes I like staying at home, playing the piano, reading a book or watching show with a good cup of coFee. Other times I enjoy going out to eat with friends, play tennis, go to a board game event, watching a good movie at a nearby theatre or go dancing.

emotional, relational, and spiritual aspects of well-being. I believe that healing involves the
whole person—mind, body, and spirit—and I tailor each session to meet the unique needs and
strengths of my clients. Whether you're navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, or
simply seeking personal growth, I am here to walk alongside you with empathy, respect, and
hope. Therapy is more than my profession—it is my purpose and true calling.

Amelia Baena, PhD, LMFT
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Florida with over 25 years of
experience working with individuals and families. I hold a B.S. in Psychology from
Universidad de Los Andes (Bogotá), an M.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy from
Carlos Albizu University (Miami), and a Doctorate from AACS (Orlando).
My work is grounded in Solution-Focused Therapy and a systems perspective, helping
clients understand behavior through neurobiology, emotional development, and
relationships. I specialize in parenting support, family and relationship challenges,
stress, and emotional regulation, offering practical and realistic tools.
I am bilingual (English–Spanish) and bring a multicultural perspective, having lived and
worked in Colombia, Germany, and the United States. I value balance and perspective,
which I also cultivate through sailing around the world with my partner.
